Product description: Solid PAM Product Appearance White powder or granula Product Characteristics High flocculent ability and good thickening ability. The product can relatively easily dissolve in water to form viscous solution. Molecular weight of product can be adjusted according to customer’s request. Application Field Anionic PAM is mainly used in minerals selection, metallurgy, coal washing, food, steel, spinning and papermaking industry which involves separation of solid-liquid and waste water treatment. Anionic PAM can also be used for oil well and oil extraction in oil industry, and retention aids and intensifier in papermaking industry. Cationic PAM is mainly used as flocculants and dewatering reagents for industry waste water and sewage; retention aids and intensifier in paper making industry; waste water treatment in pharmaceutical, leather making, printing and dyeing industry waste water treatment, and organizer in textile industry. Nonionic PAM is mainly used as flocculants with high selectivity in oil well fluid,and acidic waste water treatment. Amphoteric PAM is mainly used high difficult waste water treatment or sludge dewatering reagents in oil refining and chemical industry or papermaking industry. The Feeding-Dosing and Packaging-Storage of products Feeding and Dosing According to the properties of product, the followings should be noticed during the process of preparation and usage. 1, The concentration should be too high, normally between 0.05%-0.5%. 2. During the process of dissolving the product, stir slowly while adding the product slowly to half-water-filled tank, this can help the product disperse rapidly. Addition of product without stirring the mixture, or addition of water after product into the tank is forbidden to avoid the formation of big chunk, which is difficult to dissolve. 3. Water used to prepare solution should be neutral. Normally, tap water is fine in this process, no specific requirement. 4. The speed of stirring or agitation should be in a proper range. Relatively slow speed can cause increase of dissolution time and low level of dispersion; in contrast, too furious speed can break the linear chain, consequently, damaging the relevant properties of the product. 5. Normally, the product can be dissolved in water at room temperature, with no heating needed. In cold weather like winter, the solution temperature can be raised up to 30-40℃ to increase dissolution speed, but should not exceed 60℃ to avoid degradation of the product. 6. Low concentration of product solution should be prepared freshly for use and the storage time can not exceed 24h, otherwise, the quality of the product could degrade. 7. Formation of two layers for the emulsion after long time of storage does not affect the quality of the product and the emulsion can still be used after stirring to form homogenous phase. Usage of Products 1. Based on different water quality, quantity and series of product can be determined by experimental test. 2. Based on different application field, inorganic flocculants can be combined for use to achieve the best efficiency of product application. 3. After the preparation of dilution solution following the above methods, reasonable amount of solution should be added according to practical test of water quality and treatment efficiency. 4. Emulsion product is packaged by 25KG, 50KG, 200KG drum or 1 ton ISO container. Solid product can be packaged with 15KG, 20KG 25KG plastic knitting bag, paper-plastic combined bag, or upon the requirement of customers. 2. Emulsion product should be stored at room temperature (-5℃~40℃) and avoid the light. Guarantee period is 6 months and the product can still be used if in good shape after this period. 3. Solid product should be stored in cool, dry and shading space. Guarantee period is two years .Relatively dry atmosphere is recommended to avoid the formation of big chunk between moisture and product. The product can still be used if in good shape after guarantee period. Safety PAM is not toxic or corrosive product. If spilled on skin, into eyes or inhaled, emergent washing is a must. Washing with warm water is better. If the emulsion is spilled on the ground, collection of this emulsion is necessary. Collection of the mixture, after addition of dry sand, followed by washing with water, also works. Be very careful of the spilled emulsion because it is very slippery!
