Product description:
1. Overview
Tung oil fatty acid, produced from Tung oil, is mainly consist of eleostearic acid and small amount of linolenic acid, linoleic acid and oleic acid. Our product is produced through environmental-friendly process; because the process does not involve usage of sulphuric acid and alkali, the product is in high quality with no impurity ions.
Tung oil fatty acid has 3 conjugated double bonds, as a result, it is the fatty acid that has the best quick-drying property with very high reactivity. It is manly used for quick-drying alkyd resin, epoxy ester resin, resins for ink and epoxy curing agent. In general, this product is used after modification or in mixture with other fatty acid to avoid problems such as too rapid viscosity rises in resin synthesis and too rapid paint film solidification.

3. Product Specification
a. The product has not been decolorized and the color of the product is relatively dark.
b. This product is produced by hydrolysis method thus contains about 2% dimer and 3% tung oil.
c. This product is liquid at temperature higher than 5℃ (saponated-acidified product are solid under normal temperature), therefore is convenient to use.
d. When temperature is low, the product may appear layered or crystallized, but the usability of the product is not affected; the product can be used after fully melting and stirring in that case.
e. Our company also produces Tung-linseed fatty acid (with ratio 3:7 respectively).
4. Packaging, Transport and Storage
a. Packages applied are 200L steel drums, with net weight of 180 kg each.
b. The product is flammable and should be kept away from combustion source during transport and storage, but it is not classified as dangerous goods and can be transport and stored as normal goods.
c. The product should be stored at shade place; high temperature and exposure to sunlight would significantly change its chemical content. Its expiration date is half a year in normal temperature and 3 months in summer. Expired product can still be used if it passed inspection.
