        National Silicates is a wholly owned Canadian subsidiary of the PQ Corporation. The PQ Corporation in conjunction with its affiliates is the world's largest producer of sodium and potassium silicates.

        Quality is at the core of our operations in 68 manufacturing facilities in 19 countries on 5 continents. It is the cornerstone of the many strategic partnership affiliations we have built with major international companies. Quality characterizes our extensive resources and the global reach that allows us to support customers anywhere on earth.

        National Silicates has been serving customers in Canada since 1931, and as the first non-U.S. subsidiary of The PQ Corporation, has vast experience in the chemical manufacturing industry beginning in 1831, a full century before it was founded.

        Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, National Silicates also has production and distribution facilities for sodium silicates in Valleyfield, Quebec; Toronto, Ontario; Fort Frances, Ontario; Whitecourt, Alberta; Surrey, British Columbia. and Parksville, British Columbia. Magnesium sulphate, commonly known as Epsom salt, is produced in Surrey, BC.

As the name of the Global technical Centre implies, it deploys its technical and commercial expertise in support of other PQ units worldwide. The centre is staffed with highly trained scientists who do both research and development, as well as technical service.

        Our sales representatives are seasoned professionals with a combined 76 years of experience in the chemical industry.
