Chlormequat chloride is a Plant Growth Regulator for cotton, wheat, corn and so on.Odor: fishlike odor
Air & Water Reactions: Very hygroscopic. Water soluble. Aqueous solutions are acidic.
Health Hazard: Inhalation of spray and prolonged or repeated contact with skin should be avoided.
Uses:
Chlormequat chloride is a Plant Growth Regulator for cotton, wheat, corn and so on. Chlormequat chloride causes a reduction in the internode straw length. Reduction of straw length will reduce the risks of stem break and lodging thereby protecting yield potential of the crop. Also used in Ryegrass seed crop for synchronising tiller growth and development and increasing tiller survival.
Benefits:
Chlormequat chloride will reduce stem length, enhance leaf colour and increase leaf area. This will protect yield potential and offer benefits of increased nitrogen efficiency. Chlormequat chloride can also be used to promote seed yield increases in ryegrass seed crops.

Chlormequat chloride will also assist in a reduction of eyespot damage, but in areas where eyespot is and issue then a fungicide registered for eyespot control should still be applied.
Application:
Applied either by ground or via aerial application. Do not apply to crops of low fertility or on crops grown on light soils which would be likely to suffer moisture stress. Do not apply to crops suffering from physical stress such as frost, hail, water logging, drought or nutrient stress. Do not apply to crops suffering from herbicide damage.
Withholding Period:
Remove stock before treatment and do not graze for 42 days after treatment.
Compatibility :
Chlormequat chloride is compatible with most commonly used fungicides, insecticides and liquid nitrogen formulations. Mixtures with herbicides are not recommended. When mixing with foliar nutrients add Chlormequat chloride to the tank first.
Storage & Handling:
This product is a tracked product and must be under the control of an Approved Handler or secured. A complete record of all stages of this products lifecycle must be kept.
Surfactant:
The addition of a non - ionic surfactant such as Correct or Collaborate may be use when Chlormequat chloride is applied on its own. But not necessary when applied in conjunction with other products.
Mode of Action:
Chlormequat chloride is absorbed by the leaves and acts on developing stem, shortening and thickening the internodes. Thereby reducing the risk of stem break and lodging of the crop. This will improve crop uniformity and development increasing the efficiency of nitrogen use and reduce eyespot susceptibility.
Rainfall:
Effectiveness may be reduced if rainfall occurs within 3-4 hours of application to the crop.
