牋牋SST was founded in New York City in 1948 by three partners, Fred Schmitz, Arthur Schoenwaldt and Harry Turner (hence the name SST) as a brokerage house supplying heavy and industrial chemicals. In 1950, they saw the need to change direction to become a supplier of APIs. SST sought out European-based manufacturers of APIs and developed a long term relationship with our first supplier, Boehringer Mannheim杅or whom we distributed Quinine and Quinidine.
