On Saturday, 1 December, 2001, SACHEM, Inc. announced the acquisition of Laporte Performance Chemicals B.V., Zaltbommel, The Netherlands. The addition of the Zaltbommel facility and personnel (as SACHEM Europe B.V.) provides a tremendous opportunity to exchange and install the unique technologies among the sites and expand existing product lines into new markets. Product availability is assured through production at four sites: Cleburne, Texas; Zaltbommel, The Netherlands; Austin, Texas; and Osaka, Japan. In addition, SACHEM is part of a joint venture with Showa Denko K.K. which operates under the name of SACHEM Showa Co., Ltd. Headquartered in Osaka, Japan, it is responsible for Tetramethylammonium Hydroxide (TMAH) sales throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Through our worldwide distribution network, SACHEM has a presence in 34 countries.
