AquaCarotene Limited is Australia's only independent producer of natural betaCarotene, a naturally occurring substance commonly found in red, orange, and green fruit and vegetables.
It is the micro-algae Dunaliella Salina from which AquaCarotene derives its source of Natural betaCarotene.
The Company conducts all the processes incorporated in the growth, harvesting, and refinement of Natural betaCarotene.
The Company has established biomass growth ponds, trial ponds, seawater area, plant and equipment in Karratha.
Harvested Dunaliella Salina is refined and processed at AquaCarotene's downstream processing facilitys located in Perth.
The Company also occupies two High ground leases of approximately 158 ha which are expected to generate significant revenue from sale of general fill material currently being recovered.
AquaCarotene has plans to expand the lease area from its current 304 hectares
