Euroscreen is a dual platform company developing assays and screening technologies for the discovery of drugs acting on G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and a pipeline of drug candidates that act on GPCRs.

Founded in 1994 by leading experts in the field of GPCRs, Euroscreen has always been recognized as one of the reference providers of GPCR science. Following pioneering work in GPCR discovery and science, the Company focused its efforts on the discovery of new GPCRs, and now direct our primary efforts toward the development of our own drug candidates in the field of inflammatory diseases. Our GPCR discovery research collaborations has led to our important intellectual property portfolio for licensing, particularly as it relates to the CCR5 drug target patents. We continue to discover new GPCRs, and develop drug candidates across all areas of therapeutic interest for human diseases.

Our commercial activities are aimed at the development of innovative tools for the screening of GPCRs. These tools are available as off-the-shelf products (recombinant cell lines, receptor membrane preparations) or by fee-for-service collaborations and services. The name of Euroscreen is intimately associated with the aequorin technology (for which it holds a global exclusive license by the University of Georgia Research Foundation). Aequorin technology has been extensively used at Euroscreen for internal research programs, and developed into a High Throughput Functional Screening (HTFS) technology platform: AequoScreenTM
