Physical information:

Property and stability :

Colorless crystalline or transparent liquid with a pungent odor. Liquid is colorless or yellowish transparent when the temperature >16 ℃, and no mechanical admixture . It is white crystals when the temperature <16 degrees centigrade

Soluble in hot water, ethanol, ethyl and other organic solvents. Easy to synthesize water-soluble polymers. It is combustible, easy to burning with high heat, open flame,, decomposition of heat can produce poisonous gas

Health hazards:

Invasive routes: inhalation, ingestion, percutaneous absorption.

Health hazards: irritating to the nose and throat; high concentrations maybe cause changes in the lungs. Irritation to the skin , can cause cauma. If contact eye , can cause cauma and permanent damage.

Chronic effects: maybe damage to lung, liver and kidney. Sensitive to the skin, and cause skin itching and rash.

Leakage treatment and protection measures:

1.Evacuate personnel to the safe area and prohibit unauthorized persons entering the contaminated area;

2.When air concentration exceeds standard,processing personnel should wear gas masks, chemical safety goggles, chemical protective clothing, rubber and leather gloves etc. After work, shower, change clothes, pay attention to personal hygiene;

3.Do not contact the leak directly, ensure safety in case of leaking stoppage

4.Using sand absorbing mix with sand or other non combustible sorbent, then transport to waste disposal site for handle;

5.if a large number of leaks, the dike asylum, then collect, transfer, recycle and harmless treatment of waste

Emergency treatment:

Contact eyes and skin: rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.Inhalation: leave the scene and to the fresh air, keep the airway clear.

If necessary, take artificial respiration. See a doctor;

Ingestion: coverage to drink plenty of warm water, vomit, medical treatment;

Methods of outfire: fog water, carbon dioxide, sand, foam

Storage items:

Product application:

1.Methacrylic acid is an important intermediate of organic chemical raw materials and polymer. The most important derivatives of methyl methacrylate production of plexiglass can be used for aircraft and civil building windows, can also be processed into buttons, solar filter and auto lamp lens.
