N’-tetramethylpropylenediamine is is a highly active, pure liquid, tertiary amine that is suitable for use as a blowing catalyst in a number of rigid polyurethane foam applications.
N’-tetramethylpropylenediamine has a very strong gellation capability and low odor. It is mainly used in specialized applications requiring very strong catalysis. These applications include formulations containing alicyclic or aliphatic isocyanates, which are much less active than aromatic isocyanates and require exceptionally strong catalysts.
