Use Characteristics The accelerator HiDispersion® DETU-80 causes a very rapid vulcanization of chloroprene rubber, which is necessary of continuous vulcanization. An especially fast acceleration is obtained in the combinations consisting of HiDispersion DETU-80, MBTS-80 and DOTG-80. These, however, may increase the tendency of mixes to scorch. The ageing resistance and mechanical properties of vulcanizates accelerated by HiDispersion DETU-80 are good. Blooming does not occur. Since DETU is a raw material supplied as flakes crystallites may occur occasionally. Therefore, mixing temperature and time have to be adjusted accordingly
Processing Advantages The thermoplastic, excellent compatible EPDM/EVA binder which is combined with active dispersing promoters allows much more easily and quickly incorporation and excellent dispersion in the rubber mixing. In this way, optimal activity of the effective DETU is assured.
Dosage levels 0.1 - 2 phr, possibly in combination with 1 phr MBTS-80 and 1 phr DOTG-80
