Zhonghao Chenguang Research Institute of Chemical Industry, founded in 1960s, is mainly specialized in research and production of macromolecule synthetic materials as one of key bases in China.

　　Chenguang institute was established by centralizing the technical strength from 24 research institutes throughout the country in 1965, professionally engaged in organic fluorine, organic silicon, epoxy resin, new engineering materials, special resin & various agglomerate, medical macromolecule drugs and materials, plastic forming process, special plastic machinery, chemical equipment and corrosion protection etc. Of more than 1,000 specifications of 200 types of 20 categories, 25 kinds were awarded the quality products at the ministerial and provincial levels, which are widely used in aviation, airspace, electronics, petroleum, chemical, coal, automobile, and textile, and machinery industry.

　　The institute has accomplished over 400 scientific and technological achievements in the past 30 years, among which more than 200 gained the int'l invention awards as well as provincial and national awards. In 2003, Chenguang people contributed its efforts to the successful launch of "Shenzhou V" and fighting SARS, it was accordingly awarded and praised by the State Assets Management Commission and Sichuan Provincial Government respectively. In light of its special contribution in national defense and industrial modernization, the institute has been awarded by the central government and state council as well as the governments at all levels many times.

　　Located in suburb of Zigong, Sichuan, the institute's production base owns an area of nearly 1,000,000 square meters, active employees of 2,886 (including SME of 1,197), and a total fixed assets of RMB 600 million. Upon completion of restructuring to a tech-oriented enterprise in 1999, the institute has been growing by 30% every year with its main economic indicators ranking high in the national new synthetic materials industry. As one of top 10 chemical enterprises to be heavily supported in the Sichuan "10th Five Year Plan" period, the institute was ranked the 11st in Sichuan chemical raw materials and products manufacturing industry in 2003, 99th amid top 500 tax payer, and 156th amongst 500 industrial enterprises in terms of sales turnover. As a vice-director-member of China Organic Fluorine and Silicon Industry Association and an advanced unit of Sichuan Chemical Industry, the institute with a complete set of research facilities possesses engineering technology center, products application and development center, design center, test center, employee training center, and scientific library. Its Sichuan Organic Fluorine and Silicon Engineering Technology Research Center was identified a hi-tech enterprise of Sichuan. Recently, over 20 new products have been successively rolled out and brought up to the int'l standards.

　　The products are designed and fabricated in line with ASTM and national standards, certified by ISO9001:2000 quality system. With a self-operational import/export licence, the institute adopts ECSS in the design department, DCS in the production system, and realizes microcomputer management in its daily work. Possessing a sophisticated sales network, its products are sold to USA, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Iran, ROK, and Pakistan etc. as well as all over China.

　　The institute places great emphasis on technology renovation, e.g. over RMB 100 million were put into developing new products, so far over more than 20 have been rolled out. It is the sole perfect mating manufacturer to offer AHF and F22 in China used to synthesize Perfluoroocatanate, PTFE, PVDF, LFBX etc. to further compound fluorine resin and fluororubber, among which CGF206、CGF218、SFN1、SFN桝 and 274、275 silicone fluid for high vacuum diffusion pum reached the leading domestic level. FPM26 fluororubber and CGZ351, 352 represent the 1990s int'l level. Representing the advanced technology in the industry, its self-developed PTFE new process device, fluororubber engineering, TFE industrial testing device and Post office box laid a solid foundation for its fast development.
