Cyclosporin A is a lipophilic cyclic peptide compounds separated by certain Hyphomycetes fungi, such as Cylindrocarpon lucidum and Tolypocladium inflatumculture medium.
Cyclosporin A is a strong immunosuppressant, inhibits the onset of the reaction in cell media, reversibly inhibits T cell proliferation, does not inhibit the generation of blood cells, does not affect the function of the phagocyte.
