PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIONAs an organic nitrate, it is a vasodilator that has effects on both arteries and veins, it can relax vascular smooth muscle by producing a vasodilator effect on both peripheral arteries and veins with more prominent effects on the latter. Dilation of the post-capillary vessels, including large veins, promotes peripheral pooling of blood and decreases venous return to the heart, thereby reducing left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (pre-load). Arteriolar relaxation reduces systemic vascular resistance and arterial pressure (after-load).

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION At the start of an angina pectoris attack or immediately before exercise known from experience to be capable of triggering an attack of angina pectoris, depending on the severity, 0.4mg-0.8mg Nitroglycerin is administered, corresponding to 1-2puffs of the spray.

PRESENTATION200doses, each dose contains 0.4mg nitroglycerin.

HOW TO USE:When spraying hold the bottle vertical with the spray nozzle uppermost. Position the orifice in the spray nozzle as close as possible to the mouth. The spray is puffed into the mouth, preferably under the tongue, at intervals of about 30 sec while holding the breath. Do not inhale.
