Colistin sulphate is an antibiotic of basic polypeptides composed by various amino acids and fatty acids. It has strong antibiotic effect against intestinal diseases caused by gram-negative bacilli. It is used as feed additive and also has some growth promoting effect. Specification: The potency is not less than 20000 I.U. per milligram, calculated with reference to the dried substance.
