| FUNCTIONS | The most important use of carbon disulfide is to make viscose rayon and viscose stable fiber, accounting for 75% of the gross amount. Carbon disulfide used for making cellophane accounts for 5% of the gross amount;, less than 10% of carbon disulfide is used in carbon tetrachloride; and the rest is used in chemical engineering, rubber, flotation agent, agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyes, and petroleum industry.
