We not only produce the common water reducer-----lignosulphonate series one, but also manufacturer sodium naphthalene formaldehyde( poly naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde), the high range water reducer, which the reducing rate can go up to 22%.
What is the water reducer?
Water reducers are special chemical products added to a concrete mixture before it is poured. They are from the same family of products as retarders. The first class of water reducers was the lignosulfonates, such as, sodium lignosulphonate, calcium lignosulphonate, magnesium lignosulphonate, ammonium lignosulphonate etc., which has been used since the 1930s. These products were derived from wood and paper industry, but are now advantageously replaced by other synthetic sulfonate and polycarboxylate, also known as superplasticizers, e.g. Sodium naphthalene formaldehyde, poly naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde. High range superplasticizers (dispersants) have generally been manufactured from sulfonated naphthalene condensate, although new generation products based on polycarboxylic ethers are now available. These high range water reducers are used at 1/2 to 1/3 of the lignosulfonate types. Mostly, some of our customers mix lignosulphonate with high range water reducer---sodium naphthalene formaldehyde or sodium gluconate to get good effect.
