Product description:
EDTA tripotassium is a potassium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid EDTA, which can form chelates with the vast majority of metal ions and become a universal strong chelating agent. It is used for extraction, cation exchange, rare element separation, capacity analysis of calcium, magnesium, and barium, softening of hard water, and as a masking agent, metal cleaning agent, detoxifying agent for heavy metal poisoning, fungicide, and other aspects.
High purity EDTA tripotassium is commonly used as an anticoagulant in vacuum blood collection vessels for blood cell analysis. The use of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) salt as an anticoagulant for blood cell analysis was established by the International Committee on Blood Standards (ICSH) in 1993 and widely used. The use of EDTA-K3 anticoagulant for blood analysis in China has not been long, and there are few reports on EDTA dependent platelet pseudoreduction. Some studies have shown that when EDTA-K3 anticoagulant is used for blood analysis, unexplained platelet counts are found to be too low. Therefore, the patient should undergo manual examination of blood slides and PLT count rechecks, or directly use instruments to perform blood cell analysis after dilution with unconjugated peripheral blood, in order to correctly understand the true level of PLT in the patient. Especially for patients with tumors, autoimmune diseases, pulmonary heart disease, pregnant women, and advanced liver diseases.
In addition to being used as an anticoagulant, EDTA tripotassium can also be used in combination with biological buffering agents such as Tris and MOPS, similar to EDTA dipotassium and EDTA disodium, as a masking agent and complexing agent for some divalent metal ions.
Desheng has been committed to the research of blood collection additive separation gel, heparin, and EDTA potassium salt since 2005. Among them, separation gel, EDTA dipotassium, and EDTA tripotassium products have excellent quality and stable sales both domestically and internationally, receiving praise from customers!
