Product description:
Sodium citrate, also known as sodium citrate, is a common anticoagulant used in vacuum blood collection. Its appearance is a white powder crystal. Its anticoagulant principle is that the citrate ions in sodium citrate chelate with the calcium ions in the blood sample, thereby affecting the coagulation effect of calcium ions on the blood.
There are two types of vacuum blood collection vessels that have added sodium citrate as an anticoagulant. One is a blue capped vacuum blood collection vessel used for blood coagulation measurement, with a concentration of sodium citrate of 3.2% or 3.8%, which is 0.109mol/L or 0.129mol/L. When using this vacuum blood collection vessel, the ratio of sodium citrate to blood sample is 1:9.
Another type is a vacuum blood collection vessel with a brown cap used for measuring erythrocyte sedimentation rate. The concentration of sodium citrate added to it is 3.2%, equivalent to 0.109mol/L. This type of blood collection vessel requires a ratio of 1:4 sodium citrate to blood. Both types of vacuum blood collection vessels have a blood sample size of 2 milliliters when used.
When using vacuum blood collection vessels with sodium citrate added, it is necessary to gently invert the blood sample and anticoagulant evenly after obtaining the blood sample, fully avoiding blood coagulation. If it is a erythrocyte sedimentation rate test, it can be directly placed on the erythrocyte sedimentation rate rack for testing. If it is a blood coagulation test, the upper layer of plasma needs to be obtained through centrifugation for testing.
However, due to the strong alkalinity of sodium citrate and its weak anticoagulant effect, its range of use is very limited. By utilizing the characteristic that citrate can form soluble complexes with calcium ions, it is usually used as an anticoagulant or transfusion agent, and has good effects in the preservation and processing of blood products.
Hubei Xindesheng Material Technology Co., Ltd. has been specializing in the research and development, production, and sales of blood collection additives for 18 years, with a profound research and development background and professional technical personnel. At present, we have independently developed a complete set of blood collection additives, such as anti irradiation serum separation gel, heparin sodium, heparin lithium and other anticoagulants, high-efficiency coagulation promoting powder, and coagulants. Silicified agents and other products have been sold to many regions both domestically and internationally, and have received high praise from customers.
