Product description:
Uricase
Cat # Abt-P-1008
Uricase (EC 1.7.3.3), also known as uric acid oxidase, is extracted from fermentation broth of Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, and other fungi. It is a white freeze-dried powder or a gray white to brownish green crystalline or transparent substance, slightly soluble in alkaline buffer solution, with a pH value of 6.3. The enzyme activity is inhibited by cyanide, and inhibitors such as Ag+and Hg2+.
Because uric acid is difficult to dissolve and will deposit in tissues to form stones when the concentration is high, uric acid enzyme can reduce the content of uric acid in blood, increase the excretion of uric acid in urine, and thus eliminate the retention of uric acid in blood and tissues when used in patients with high uric acid blood. It is also used to measure uric acid levels in serum and urine.
Our company's uratase is a gene recombinant product, which is free from animal derived viruses and has high purity and good activity.
Biochemical research: It can catalyze the rapid oxidation of uric acid and ultimately generate allantoic acid. Used to measure uric acid levels in serum and urine.
