MINAKEM offers an independent partnership, providing fine services for life. Founded in 1952 by Mr. Claude Dufour under the name of "Laboratoires du Bois de Boulogne" and rechristened latter on in SEAC, Minakem is a French manufacturer of fine chemicals, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and advanced pharmaceutical intermediates. Originally located in the western suburb of Paris (Boulogne), SEAC moved its industrial activity to its current location in Beuvry la Foret near Lille in 1962. In 1988, SEAC became a 100% subsidiary of the French company CFPI. Ten years later, CFPI was acquired by Nufarm Limited, the Australian chemical group, further positioning itself in the agrochemical market SEAC remained managed as a stand-alone company within the group, focusing on fine chemicals. In 2005, Minakem Holding SAS bought from SEAC all the assets related to the custom synthesis, including the R&D laboratories, pilot plant and manufacturing resources. Operating under the new name Minakem SAS, headquarters are now located in Beuvry la Foret and it is privately owned. Later the same year, Minakem established a company in the United States (NJ) called Minakem, L.L.C., to manage its North-American business and support its development within the local market |
