Arch Chemicals Inc
In 1953, Arch pioneered U.S. production of hydrazine to fuel the first Titan rocket. In the more than thirty years since that first flight into space there have been countless new applications for this versatile chemical. Used directly, it is an oxygen scavenger and energy source. Used as an intermediate, it is essential to the production of a number of important chemicals and polymers.
To meet growing global demand for superior quality hydrazine, Arch operates two ISO 9002-certified hydrazine plants in Lake Charles, LA. To further strengthen our worldwide supply position, we have programs in place to debottleneck the hydrazine hydrates capacity by 20-30%. This makes us one of the world's largest producers and one of the most reliable sources of hydrazine.
Since virtually all of our production is for the world marketplace - and not for captive use - our customers know that the hydrazine they need will be available, when and where they need it.
