ABCR GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1987 by Dr. Norbert Braunagel on the premises of Carl Roth company, a well established laboratory supplyer. As both companies grew fast ABCR bought back the shares from Carl Roth and moved to its present site in the Karlsruhe harbour area in 1996. Having more space for extended stock keeping and better technical equipment, ABCR soon developed to one of the leading catalog houses for R&D chemicals in Europe. With vice president J黵gen Kramer reorganising the internal processes and subsequently installing its present ISO 9002 system, ABCR is steadily improving its quality assurance. This effort has been rewarded by numerous”prime provider agreements”with the major European and US pharmaceutical and agricultural manufacturers. ABCR customer service has been complemented by setting up an ABCR (UK) affiliation. Headed by BSc Jason Arrowsmith, a former Fluorochem Ltd employee, the UK office fulfils the special requirements of a highly competitive local market. In the same context our distributorships in France, Poland and Japan are to be seen. Among presently 15 employees there are 5 chemist to listen and hopefully solve their customers queries. The individual expertise, motivation and quality commitment of this small and specialised company has been and will be the key to its success.
