BRUNO BOCK Chemische Fabrik GmbH & Co. KG is a privately owned enterprise, founded in 1937 in Hamburg as trading company later specializing in manufacturing of ORGANIC SULFUR CHEMICALS. BRUNO BOCK is a leading producer of Thioglycolic Acid (CAS No. 68-11-1). The production started 1950. In 1968 the company outgrew the available facilities in Hamburg and moved to Marschacht on the southern bank of the river Elbe 30 km east of Hamburg. In the 1990s besides Thioglycolic Acid and its derivatives the production of3-Mercaptopropionic Acid (CAS No. 107-96-0), Thiolactic Acid (CAS No. 79-42-5) and their derivatives like Polythiols started. In September 2005 BRUNO BOCK established as US subsidiary Evans Chemetics LP in Iselin, NJ, and acquired the Evans Chemetics business and its production site in Waterloo, NY.
