| Detailed Description: | Cas No. : Dolomite chemical composition Magnesium oxide [MgO] 17.5% min +/- 0.75% Calcium oxide {CaO] 35.0% max +/- 0.75% Ferric oxide [Fe2 O2] 0.26% max +/- 0.025% Silica [SiO2] 1.5% max +/- 0.25% The following materials should not contain the following metallic elements or compounds of these elements as discrete particles at levels which could be detrimental to glass manufacture Cr Co Cu Mn Ni V Physical properties moisture content: The moisture content of the dolomite received must not exceed 2% . Up to 3% maximum maybe allowed with unusually porous dolomite Decrepitating The decrepitating index of the dolimite must not exceed 5% Particle size Cumulative % Retained 4000 microns Nil 3000 micron 1.0% maximum 2000 microns 1.0% maximum 1000 microns 65.0% maximum 125 microns 50.0% maximum Harmfull materials The materials must not contain refractory particles such as chromite, corundum, kyanite etcof sizes larger than 0.2 m . In addition ,the material must not contain particles harmfull to glassmaking which are introduced during processing and transport.
