Appearance: Colorless to light yellow transparent liquid , Become brown or dark red when it is exposed to air or sunlight; Bitter ; Miscible with water, but unstable in water ; Soluble in alcohol, ether, benzene and chloroform and insoluble in petroleum hydrocarbon .

Uses : ( 1 ) For the production of various properties of the furan resin, furfural resin, furfuryl alcohol - Urea-formaldehyde resin, phenolic resin, etc. ( 2 ) For synthetic fibers, rubber, pesticide and foundry industry. ( 3 ) Used to prepare the acid, plasticizers, solvents (such as varnishes, pigments) and rocket fuel and others.
