Quantity: 50000Kilograms Arachidonic Acid (ARA) Chemical Names: Microbial oil with a high content of arachidonic acid (ARA) Molecular Formula: C19H31COOH Molecular Weight: 304.5g/mol Description: Light yellow to light free-flowing dry powder consists of fine spherical particles. Composition: The particles contain microencapsulated microbial oil rich in arachidonic acid (ARA) that is embedded in a matrix of gum Arabic (E414), sucrose and coated with starch. The product contains sodium ascorbate (E301), ascorbyl palmitate (E304), lecithin (E322) and DL-alpha-tocopherol (E307) as antixidants. Solubility: The product can be dispersed even in cold water to form stable milky emulsion with good longterm stability. Specification of Oil: Microbial oil containing arachidonic acid in triglyceride form. The oil is produced by fermentation based on the fungus. Proportion of fatty acids in oil: (approximate data in weigh-%) ARA: 42% Other omega-6 fatty acids: 14% Omega-3 fatty acids: 1% Other fatty acids: 43% Monographs: No monographs exist for Dry ARA sperical particle. It is recommended to use up the contents of the containers quickly, once they have been opened. The product is stable for at least 24 months in the unopened is stable for at least 24 months in the unopened original container at room temperature (about 25oC) Applications: Food products: The product is suitable for enrichment of basic food products especially dairy-based products. Dietetic products: The product is suitable in particular for enrichment of infant formula and maternal nutrition products where is a specific need for ARA supplementation.
