Molecular Formula:C21H18O11 Molecular Weight:446.36 Brief:Light yellow prismy crystal. Melting Point:202-205 Solubility:Soluble in ethanol, methanol, aether, acetone, ethyl acetate, warm glacial acetic acid, sparing soluble in chloroform and nitrobenzene, insoluble in water. Green brown in dilute sodium hydroxide, yellow green in oil of vitriol. Optical rotation:-85 (c=1, DMSO) Pharmacology: This product have the function of anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, diuretic, cholagogue, lowering the cholesterol ,anti - thrombosis, and easing the effects of asthma.It is used as the liver salivant enzyme inhibitor.The phosphate ,which is used as convergence, hemostatic,used to cure the allergies and asthmatic pneumonia, is made from the Baicalin. |
