Soluble in water and ethanol, the acidic aqueous solution, easy to absorb. Cupric nitrate is a strong oxidant, with carbon powder, sulfur, or other combustible material with heat, friction or shock, can cause a fire and explosion.

Use: Cupric nitrate used as a catalyst, oxidizer, activating agent and photosensitive resistance phosphor materials.
