Cupric carbonate, basic is also called copper (II) carbonate hydroxide. It is a peacock-green minor amorphous powder. Specific gravity is 3.85. Cupric carbonate is not soluble in cold water or alcohol. It is soluble in acids, cyanide, ammonium liquid or sodium alkali and ammonia salts. Solubility in water is 0.0008%. The decomposition temperature is 200-220 C°Cupric carbonate is low toxic. |
