Specs:LFR-8012 LFR-8012 Halogen-free flame retardant specialized for PET, PA spinning 1. Introduction: LFR-8012 is an organic zinc salt flame retardant containing phosphorus. It is white powder with high temperature resistance and non-migration. It will melt under high temperature, which will be benefit for melt blending with polymer and will not block spinneret. Accordingly, it is especially suitable for the halogen-free flame retardancy of PET fiber and PET thin film system, and has good compatibility with matrix resin. It can also be applied to injection moulding of PBT and PET. It has excellent flame retardant efficiency with nitrogenous flame retardants. 2. Application: a. 8012 can be applied to the production of polyester chip, filament, short fiber, thin film and permanent flame retardant polyester products. The achieved flame retardant polyester chips have good performance in terms of color, spinnability, fiber strength and chromaticity. It can fit for spinning process through any spinning system. 8012 has good thermal stability, so it will not decompose and there is no strange smell during spinning process. Also it can improve antistatic property of polyester products. It can be applied to all application areas of conventional PET and PBT. b. 8012 has prominent flame retardant efficiency, especially to polyester. It is used in the application of injection molding and fiber. With the recommended additive amount of LFR-8012 for PET 5~10%, the LOI above 30% can be achieved. In PBT, an additive amount of 10-15% LFR-8012 together with 10-15% nitrogenous flame retardants such as MPP, MCA is usually sufficient to obtain the UL94 V-0 (at 0.8 and 1.6mm thickness). c. 8012 can melt under processing temperature above 200℃ and is miscible with the molten polyester. 4. Suggestion of usage: To make polyester fabric have more stable flame retardant property, PET flame retardant master batches with 50% flame retardant contained can be produced first. Then add the master batches in PET. With the dosage of 5-10% flame retardant for fabric, the LOI above 30% can be achieved. Users should choose suitable dyeing and finishing condition, to ensure finished products reach the best permanent flame retardant property. 5. Packaging & Storage 20KG in one paper-plastic composite bag, which is lined with plastic bag; Sealed storage in dry, dust-proof and cool place. |
