Detailed Description: |
RecombinantHuman CSF1 is a disulfide linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptidechain containing 2 x 159 amino acids and having a total molecular weight of36.8kDa, the sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determinedto be Met-Glu-Glu-V;Granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factors are cytokines that act in hematopoiesis by controlling the production, differentiation, and function of 2 related white cell populations of the blood, the granulocytes and the monocytes-macrophages. CSF-1 induces cells of the monocyte/macrophage lineage. It plays a role in immunological defenses, bone metabolism, lipoproteins clearance, fertility and pregnancy.Macrophagecolony-stimulating factor, or M-CSF, is a secreted cytokine which influenceshemopoietic stem cells to differentiate into macrophages or other relatedcell types. Eukaryotic cells also produce M-CSF in order to combatintercellular viral infection. (See colony-stimulating factor.) M-CSF binds tothe Colony stimulating factor 1 receptor. It may also be involved indevelopment of the placenta. http://www.creative-diagnostics.com/Recombinant-Human-Colony-Stimulating-Factor-1-a-a-2-x-159-Polypeptide-4213-427.htm
