Physical properties: Industrial bromine is a brown liquid at room temperature and has a pungent odor. The boiling point is 58.5 ° C, and the steam is brownish red. It has a specific gravity of 3.12 at room temperature, is slightly soluble in water, and is easily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, kerosene and carbon tetrachloride.
