Brief introduction Carrageenan (also called carrageen gum) is a kind of natural polysaccharide hydrophilic gum extracted from sea plant - red algae and, normally, is white or yellow in the form of powder, odorless and tasteless. EINECS No.: 23-524-2 CAS No.: 9000-07-1 Properties: Not soluble in cold water, insoluble in organic solvents, easily soluble in hot water or translucent colloidal solution; For its strong stability, dry powder is not easy to degrade after a long-term storage, and it is stable in neutral solution, too.
