As a natural compound produced by the human body, the hyaluronic acid has three main functions: to protect the cartilage between the joints and mechanical deterioration, to keep it hydrated and to control cell migration. It also plays an important role in stimulating immune responses and reducing the need for antibiotics by helping the white cells combat several types of infections. However, as the human body continues to aging, the amount of hyaluronic acid produced in the body decreases naturally and this is why its synthetic preparations come into being.

The food grade sodium hyaluronate of Qufu Liyang is manufactured by fermentation with streptococcus equi, subsp. zooepidemicus. It is strictly managed according to ISO 9001 and GMP standards. The raw materials used in the fermentation, including glucose, peptone, yeast extract and other raw materials, are all non-animal sources. It is safe, natural, high purity and it is non-animal sources, non-GMO, non-BSE/TSE risk. It has been Kosher and Halal certified.
