Specific gravity: 1.13-1.34, melting point: 94°Cmin., soluble in benzene, toluene, chloroform, CS2, CCL4, dichloroethane, acetone, insoluble in water, dilute acid, dilute alkali solution and gasoline. It is slightly discoloured while being used.
