It has unsurpassed ability to remove phospholipids, soaps and trace metals from feedstock in both physical and chemical refining operations. It also reduces costs and simplifies the entire refining process while minimizing the overall impact on the environment: • Improving the taste and shelf life of edible oil; • Eliminating water wash process; • Reducing usage of bleaching earth and oil loss. Biodiesel Refining Aid Silclar silica can remove soaps, phospholipids and trace metals from all kinds of feedstock in the refining process. It also reduces costs and simplifies the entire refining process while minimizing the overall impact on the environment. Silclar Silica is high purity and inert. It has unsurpassed ability to remove phospholipids, soaps and trace metals from biodiesel feedstock in both physical and chemical refining operations. Pretreatment with Silclar Silica allows the use of a wide variety of cheaper feedstock oils and fats with simplified processing. Likewise, the produced FAME (fatty acid methyl esters) biodiesel must be purified to remove soap contaminants and other trace contaminants. Silclar Silica can be used effectively to refine the FAME Biodiesel oil. |
