Easily decompose when sodium metabisulphite 97% becomes wet , When exposed in air it will easily oxidize into sulfate. Emit sulfur dioxide and generate the corresponding salts when Sodium pyrosulfite contacts with acid. Sodium metabisulfite 96.5% powder will decompose when heated to 150℃. disodium disulphite can be divided into third categories according to its use: sodium metabisulfite in food and sodium metabisulfite in technology .
