Its chelation to heavy metal ions: When washing, the heavy ions in water can react with detergent molecules and form insoluble metal-salt, which decrease the detergent's washing ability, even become invalid absorlutely. So, the detergent has to be added in chelation agent, which can make heavy metal ions become innocuous substance. STPP has strong chelation to heavy metal ions, it can seal ions off, remove their harmful interference in washing process. In addition, STPP can catch all kinds of metal componets in dirt, in order to decompose dirt when washing. STPP can improve soap using effect and prevent bar soap grease from precipitation and blooming. 2. Its dissociation , emulsification and decomposition to dirt: The dirt always is bodily fluids, mainly protein and fat matters, also is sand or dust from environment. STPP can dilate protein and improve its dissolution, this is why it has dissociation function. STPP has decomposition function to solid dirt. It has strong emulsification to oil and fat and also regular PH value of soap solution. 3. STPP is anti-caking to detergent: The detergent powder always absorb moisture, if put them in dankish place, detergent will be caking, it is very inconvenient in using. STPP absorb mositure and then become new compound with 6 water of crystallization, which is very dry, so adding much STPP in detergent,it can prevent caking from absorbing moisture and maintain dry granular apparance. 4. STPP buffer detergent solution and maintain its PH value of 9.4 more or less, thus, remove well acid dirt. It also used in processing meat; in candy industry; in water treatment from the power station, locomotive vehicle, boiler and chemical fertilizer factories.
