Characteristics:
High pure Sulfolane is a colorless,odorless solid in normal temperature,freezing point:27.6℃,flash point(closed):170℃,boiling point:285℃.Technical Sulfolane is a pale- yellow liquid.It has good solubility, mutual soluble with water,easily soluble in aromatics and alcohol.It has good thermal stability,and is stable in alkalis an acids.Is dose not react with alkalis,acids,diolefine,Sulfur and alcohol etc.,and does not decompose and polymerize in room temperature. Partly sulfolane will decompose and produce SO when temperature is high than 240 C deg.
