It is a kind of strong non-oxidizing acid. It is miscilbe with diethyl ether, acetone, ethanol, benzene, carbon tetrachloride and hexane. Relative density (D20):1.5351. Melting point -15.4οC. Boiling point: 72.4οC. Refractive index (n20D) 1.2850.It is toxic and corrosive. Uses: used as pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediates, biological -chemical reagents, organic synthesis reagent. |
