Water-soluble erythromycin thiocyanate
Erythromycin thiocyanate has been included in national using catalogs, it has prominent market superiorities.

The product is produced by coating erythromycin thiocyanate and cosolvent. Calculated on the anhydrous substance, the titer of each 1mg of water-soluble erythromycin thiocyanate shall not be less than 375 erythromycin unit (50%).
【Properties】 The product is white or off-white crystal or crystalline powder; no odor, with bitter taste. Soluble in water.
【Identification】 (1)Take 10mg of the product, add 2ml sulfuric acid, shake well slowly, then the solution turns reddish-brown.
(2)Take 10mg of the product, add 2ml acetone then filter, take the filter liquor, add 2ml hydrochloric acid, then the solution turns brownish-yellow, then turns purple red gradually; add 2ml trichloromethane, slowly shake well, the trichloromethane layer turns violet blue.
(3)Take 10mg of the product, add 10ml water, add 2ml ferric trichloride solution, shake well, the solution turns vermilion.
【Inspection】Drying loss, take the product, take phosphorus pentoxide as drier, drying under reduced pressure at 60℃, the mass loss shall be less than 6.0%(page 78 in appendix).
Solubility Take 0.2g of the product, add 150ml water, blend, should be totally dissolved.
【Content Determination 】 Appropriate product should be precisely weighed, add ethyl alcohol (1ml ethyl alcohol in 20mg product), dissolve the erythromycin thiocyanate in it by an ultrasonic method, dilute by sterile water, and prepare solution (1ml contains about 1000 units), then filter, take the filter liquor, then examine by antibiotic microbiological detection method (page 121 in appendix).1000 erythrocin unit is equivalent to 1mg of C37H67NO13.
