  Fluroxypyr is a synthetic compound of the pyridine family that acts as a synthetic auxin, one of the natural plant growth regulators. Fluroxypyr is used as a selective herbicide for the control of broad-leaved weeds, especially cleavers (Galium aparine).,polygonum convolvulus, Portulaca oleracea, Solanum nigrum, Stellaria media. Convolvulus arvensis ect.Fluroxypyr is absorbed after foliar application and is translocated to other parts of the plant, therefore making it systemic in its action. The compound causes typical auxin-type responses in its target plants, such as leaf rolling. Fluroxypyr is on cereals, fallow land and on-farm non-cropland. Approved crops include barley (spring and winter), durum wheat, wheat (spring and winter)grassland and grass ley, oats (winter and spring), triticale and rye. Fluroxypyr is often sold premixed with other active substances, such as clopyralid, florasulam, triclopyr, metsulfuron-methyl, MCPA and aminopyralid.
