  1.antiarteriosclerotic, hypolipaemic, hepatoprotectant
  2.Benzyl Benzoate has seen use as an insecticide, as well as a solvent for various chemical reactions.
  3.Used to kill lice and the mites responsible for the skin condition scabies.
  4.As solvent of cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose and artificial musk; substitute for camphor in celluloid and plastic pyroxylin Compounds; perfume fixative; in confectionery and chewing gum flavors.
  
  Description:
  Benzyl benzoate (BnBzO), sold under the brand name Scabanca among others, is a medication and insect repellent.[1] As a medication it is used to treat scabies and lice.[2] For scabies either permethrin or malathion is typically preferred.[3] It is applied to the skin as a lotion.[2] Typically two to three applications are needed.
