Usage: 1. Use of spices. Benzyl acetate is the main component of jasmine and other extracts, is fragrant, Yilan and other floral fragrance deployment of indispensable spices, because of cheap, used for soap and other industrial flavor. Often in the jasmine, Prynne, Hosta, under the incense and narcissus and other flavors in a large number of use, but also a small amount for raw pears, apples, bananas, mulberry and other types of edible flavor.
2. Solvent use Benzyl acetate dissolved in water 0.23% by weight, insoluble in glycerol. But with alcohol, ether, ketone and ester, aromatic hydrocarbons and other miscible. On the oil, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate and so have a good ability to dissolve, but also dissolved rosin, glycerol three rosin ester, coumarone resin. It is used as a solvent for shellac paint, alkyd resin, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, dye, grease, printing ink and the like.
