Brominated polystyrene BPS is a new type bromine flame retardants, PS is under the catalysis, via bromination, crushing into white or light yellow powder. Product has good chemical stability and thermal stability, good compatibility with engineering plastics, with little effects on the mechanical properties of the material, no precipitation when add BPS, Surface not frosting, excellent antistatic properties and can still retain more than 90% of the mechanical properties.

Solubility: this product is insoluble in water, alcohol, ether and dichloromethane, soluble in tetrahydrofuran, bromine chloride methane.
Application: this product can be widely used in glass fiber, nylon, PET, PBT, is a good substitute for ten bromine biphenyl ether, retardant effect is obvious for the nylon, PET, PBT, flame.
