Scientific Name: Epoxy fatty acid butyl ester
Synonyms: Butyl epoxystearate; Butyl epoxy stearate ; Butyl ester of epoxy stearate; Butyl ester of epoxy fatty acids; Oxiraneoctanoic acid, 3-octyl-, butyl ester;
9,10-epoxy-octadecanoic aci butyl ester;
9,10-epoxyoctadecanoic acid, butyl ester
Molecular Formula: C22H42O3
Molecular Weight: 354.6
CAS RN.: 106-83-2
Packing: 180kgs/drum
Properties: At normal temperature, the product is a primrose or yellow heavy bodied oil. Viscosity: 18.3mPa.s(25°C), refractive index: 1.4560-1.4570 (20°C), soluble in chloroform, aether, ketone, benzene, insoluble in water. It's the epoxide plasticizer and stabilizing agent of polyvinyl chloride. Owing to its special structure, it can make PVC resin reduce the occurrence of decomposition, embrittlement and coking, which are caused by heating and the influence of climate in process and use. And it has good heat stability, resistance to elements, low temperature resistance and light stability. Moreover, it has good compatibility with PVC and fast curing speed. Its curing temperature is lower than DOP and it has high plasticization efficiency. It also has good lubricity, which can improve the serviceability of batch. If a certain proportion of the product is added into another product, the former one can keep the latter pliant and more lucidus and prolong its operational life span at low temperature. The usual proportion is 5-10 shares.
Specification: In accordance with Q/THG 002
