Physical and chemical properties	White crystals. Melting point 240 °c. Soluble in water and alcohols, aqueous solution is almost neutral, insoluble in ether, petroleum ether, benzene and carbon disulfide. Slightly fishy odor, salty bitter taste, easy deliquescence, unstable in alkali solution.
Uses	It is used for the treatment of fatty liver and cirrhosis, and is also used as a feed additive, which can stimulate ovaries to produce more eggs, litter and gain weight in poultry and fish
