Introduction of chondroitin sulfate
Sodium chondroitin sulfate is a derivative of a natural mucopolysaccharide, or a component "found in connective tissue, skin, bone and cartilage together with proteins from the intercellular cells where collagen and elastin are embedded".
Function of chondroitin sulfate
1. As health care product, chondroitin sulfate can be used in preventing coronary disease, stenocardia, myocardial infarction, coronary atherosclerosis, myocardial ischemia, lowering its incidence rate and death rate obviously.
2. It is effective in treating neurodynia, arthralgia, arthritis, scapulalgia and relieving the pain after laparoscopic surgery.
3. It can prevent the hearing impairments caused by streptomycin and the tinnitus by noise.
5. It has adjuvant therapy function in chronic nephritis, chronic hepatitis, keratitisand keratohelcosis.
6. The recent reports say the chondroitin sulfate in marine fish cartilage can anti-tumor.
