Chracteristic: Yellow or white powder-type, 6-8 hydrate, the melting point about 83, MP. 171, dissolved in acetone, ethanol, acetic acid and hot water, insoluble in ether, chloroform and ethane.

Function:
In application of traditional Chinese medical science, it is used to dispel bloating and a lump in the abdomen and phlegm, and to cureedema, constipation, gastroptosis, prolapse of uterus and rectocele. Anti- tumour, prevent osteoporosis, reduce cholesterin and protect heart.
